A day has three phases, the morning , the afternoon, and the evening.
A swahili saying Say's, "A bright day shows itself in the morning".
It is in the morning that we set up the plan for the whole day.Without setting a plan for the day it is not possible to fulfill the goal desired.The starting of a day differs from one society to another and from one person to another due to geographical location,cultural practices and personal routine.
To one it might be morning to the other it is afternoon,to one society it is morning while to the other it is afternoon.
Normally, morning starts at 4pm in many societies, where people start their day,by either saying a word of prayer, taking a one hand cup of tea and go to thier places to earn their daily bread.
It is in the morning also where the sun rises and it shows that it is a start of a bright day.
When noon comes the sun becomes hot and its in the middle of all the activites of the day, where things may seem going well, while on the other hand, things may seem not going!
Suddenly, comes the evening!
Wow, at last its the end of a day. Where we all feel released after a long and busy day.
Here is where we celebrate the achievements of the day, and start analysing if we were able to meet all the goals of the day! And we go to rest so that we can start another day again.Life goes on like that from day one we start breathing to the last day of our breaths!
What difers is what is done during a day.
One thing all human beings we have in common, is that in a day we are all given equal hours.We are all given 24hours. Whether you live in Africa or in Europe, whether in America og Asia, we all use the 24hours we are given in a day.
The question is, why are we different?
I was asking myself that question many years ago, until I found out that, we are different depending on the way we use our day.
We are different on because of the way we start our day.
It is important to note that,
A successful day produces a successful week,which produces a successful month,and a successful year,which result into a succesful lifetime. So one day may make you successful or may make you unseccessful in life.
Let us look how this great man in the Bible started his day and that made him end up becoming a great Hero we read today.His name is King David.
David, a man after Gods own heart, knew that a great day starts in the morning, and it has to be directed by the Lord.
He wanted to hear from the Lord on his routine of the whole day, David wanted God to show him the direction for the whole day.
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul(Psalm 143:8)
First and the foremost thing to do in the morning,is to Commit your day to the Lord.It is only God who can direct us on how our day can be successful.And it all starts by starting with Him in the morning. God is the author of everything including a day.
Learn to commit each day to the Lord in the morning, and your day will be successful.
Second, Plan your day early in the morning.Don't wait until its about noon then you ask youself, what can you do for today.
To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
(Proverbs 16:1)
We are supposed to plan, then God will do the rest. It is our responsibility to plan and not God's.
God can not plan for us.We plan and God makes our plans succeed.
We plan the activites of the day before the start of the day. In that case be assured to have a great day.
Third,Prioritize. Having priority does not mean that what you left behing has no value. It might mean that first things are to be done first.
You can not do everything in one day, but you can do something. Make a priority of things that you should start with and the things you should end with.Make a priority of the things, you are going to do today and the things that you are going to do the next day ,people you are going to meet and places you are going to go. Finish up the pendings you left yesterday before starting something new, otherwise you will have a pile of pendings.
Then go for your day,while concentrating on your plan,believing God for direction.
In the evening, its time to review what happened on the day.
Were all that you planned for a day, accomplished?
If all were not accomplished, what was the obstacle? Was it youself?or something else?
Discover what pulled you back. Put a way foward towards soving the problem, so that when you start another day your will be able to overcome that obstacle and accomplish your plan for a day.
As I said earlier,
A successful day, produces a successful week,A Susseccful week produces a successful month, A successful month produces a successful year,A successful year produces a succesful lifetime.
So one day may make you successful or may make you unseccessful in life. It all depends on how you use your day.
